Decades after he almost appeared as Superman in Tim Burton’s ill-fated (and never produced) movie, Superman Lives, actor Nicolas Cage will finally get to play the Man of Steel.
According to USA Today, Cage will voice the iconic superhero in forthcoming animated flick, Teen Titans GO! to the Movies. The long-time comic book fan will provide vocal duties as part of a number of cameos lined up for the film, including singer/song-writer, Halsey as Wonder Woman and rapper, Lil Yachty as Green Lantern.
Executive producer, Sam Register, said:
“Every superhero in the DC Universe has an impact on the fans, so we felt a great responsibility to find a voice for each character that would not only suit the role, but the playful tone of the Titans, and we’re thrilled with our cameo cast.”
Based on popular Cartoon Network show, Teen Titans GO!, Teen Titans GO! to the Movies is the first big screen adventure for the DC Entertainment quintet. Scott Menville (Robin), Hynden Walch (Starfire), Greg Cipes (Beast Boy), Tara Strong (Raven) and Khary Payton (Cyborg) will reprise their roles from the show.
Teen Titans GO! to the Movies arrives in cinemas in July.
