Over the past couple of days, I’ve posted a few news items regarding New York Toy Fair 2018 (NYTF 2018) – the annual toy event which has taken place this weekend. In this post, I offer up yet more NYTF 2018 news, only this time in the form of a highlights package.
Below is a list of all the big lines that were announced during the course of this weekend, including toys for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Star Wars and The Real Ghostbusters. THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
Scan your eyes through the list below, start saving your pennies and clear some shelf space – there are a heck of a lot of awesome toys heading our way.

NYTF 2018 highlights
Hasbro:
Hasbro has announced a HEAP of new Marvel Legends figures – eight new waves in total! The sets will include lines dedicated to Venom, Deadpool and Spider-Man, as well as various figures inspired by the films of Marvel Studios. The latest scanning technology is being used to make the movie-based figures look just like their onscreen counterparts and soon you’ll be able to own a Trevor Slattery figure!

The Hasbro-Marvel connection continues with a collection of costume play toys that are also due on shelves very shortly, including a Black Panther mask and an Infinity Gauntlet.
With this being another big year for Star Wars, Hasbro has more Star Wars toys on the horizon, including a Nerf Rival Stormtrooper blaster. The gun fires Nerf pellets and is inspired by the firearms used in the most recent Star Wars movies.
Speaking of Star Wars, Hasbro has something huge (and I mean HUGE) in the pipeline – Jabba’s Sail Barge! The 3.75” scale playset is the largest Star Wars set ever designed and is part of Hasbro’s new HasLab crowdfunding platform. If you love Jabba, then this is the Sail Barge you’ve been looking for.
And finally, after more than 25 years, Hasbro is taking over the Power Rangers license from Bandai. Hasbro will start releasing new Power Ranger toys in 2019.

Diamond Select Toys:
A range of Sonic the Hedgehog toys and collectables is coming from Diamond Select Toys. Products will include PVC dioramas, Minimates, Vinimates and PVC mini-figures.
Diamond Select Toys has also announced a set of action figures based on The Real Ghostbusters. Cartoon accurate, the figures will form the 9th and 10th waves of DST’s ongoing Ghostbusters line – and they look freakin’ sweet!

The Loyal Subjects:
The Ghostbusters will also be appearing as a new set of vinyl figures from The Loyal Subjects. The pint-sized toys are based on the ’84 movie and will include all four ‘busters & Slimer.

LEGO:
LEGO is to release The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition. The construction set/figure – inspired by the Hulkbuster armour as seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron – will arrive in stores in March, priced at £119.99.
LEGO is also releasing a range of Unikitty sets, based on the Unikitty character as seen in The LEGO Movie and the Cartoon Network show. The Unikitty sets are due to land in August.
And yet more from LEGO, with the imminent release of a 1414-piece Kessel Run Millenium Falcon. The construction set is inspired by the new movie, Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Funko:
Funko has announced A HECK OF A LOT of new Funko Pop! figures to hit throughout 2018. The range includes X-Men, Deadpool, Rainbow Brite, Grease, Coming to America, Smallville, Super Troopers, The Princess Bride, Stranger Things, Saturday Night Live, Pee-wee’s Playhouse, Gossip Girl, ‘It’, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Black Panther, A Wrinkle in Time, Aladdin, Doug and Lara Croft, amongst others. Also, be on the look-out for a Bob Ross plush.

Eaglemoss:
Eaglemoss is continuing its range of Batman: The Animated Series mini-statues, with Scarecrow, Two-Face, Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman and Batgirl making the cut.

Sideshow Toys:
Sideshow Toys is to release a Mumm-Ra statue. The statute is based on the character’s classic look, as seen in the 1980s ThunderCats TV show.

McFarlane Toys:
McFarlane Toys has a bunch of new licensed products on the way, including a set of Stranger Things. As the figures are based on the show’s second season you should expect to see the Stranger Things kids decked out in Ghostbusters jumpsuits.

NECA:
NECA unveiled a Pan’s Labyrinth Pale Man action figure. The 7” figure is part of the Guillermo del Toro Signature Collection.
Sticking with the movie theme, NECA is also due to release yet more action figures inspired by the Aliens films. The next wave will be NECA’s 13th Aliens wave! Wow!

DC Collectibles:
DC Collectibles has revealed a new Superman statue is on the horizon, based on the artwork of Jim Lee. The statue is part of the DC Designer Series.
Mattel:
And finally, Mattel has lots of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom toys prepped and ready to hit shelves. The toys range from blind bags and action figures, to an Uno game, a 3ft-long T-Rex and more!
