Earlier today, I posted news about a potential new X-Men movie to feature the ‘phasing’ mutant, Kitty Pryde. The proposed movie – currently being developed under the working title, ‘143’ – is in the pipeline for Fox (more on this below).

143’ is just one of a number of Marvel projects either in development or due to be released by Fox over the coming year. Below is a list of Fox’s proposed slate, including projects which are believed to be in development – 11 projects in total.

Please note: Disney are currently in active talks to buy 21st Century Fox. This deal has yet to be completed (and it may not happen), but should it go ahead it could alter the Fox/Marvel slate considerably after 2018.

Fox’s Marvel slate in full:

143 – No release date, but the project is in development. Currently going under the working title ‘143’, this is a Kitty Pryde solo-movie being developed by Tim Miller (director) and Brian Michael Bendis (writer).

Deadpool 2 – Due for release in May. Deadpool 2 is the first of two Fox/Marvel movies for 2018. The movie stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Josh Brolin, Zazie Beetz and Jack Kesy.

Doctor Doom – No release date, but a project that is in development – or at least, it was in development last year. During summer 2017, Legion showrunner Noah Hawley let slip that he is working on a Fantastic Four spin-off movie to feature Doctor Doom. No further word has been made about the project.

Gambit – Due for release in June 2019. This project has been in development for a number of years and was due to enter production next month. Actor Channing Tatum is still attached to the project, but at present Gambit is without a director, after Gore Verbinski dropped out at the beginning of the year.

Legion – Season two of Legion will air this April. This latest season will run ten episodes, with Dan Stevens reprising the role of David Haller/Legion.

Multiple Man – No release date, but the project is believed to be in development. James Franco is reportedly attached, with Wonder Woman writer Allan Heinberg on script duties for this X-Men spin-off film.

The Gifted – Season two of The Gifted is due to air in late 2018. All of the core cast, including Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Sean Teal, Jamie Chung, Emma Dumont and Blair Redford are expected to return.

The New Mutants – Due for release in February 2019. The New Mutants was originally set to hit cinemas in April 2018, but the movie has been put back to next year. Filming has been completed on the project, so it will hit cinemas – it’ll just be a little later than expected. Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton and Henry Zaga will star.

X-Force – No release date and at present you should chalk this up to ‘it might happen’. Drew Goddard has previously been attached to write and direct an X-Force movie, but with X-Force due to make an appearance in Deadpool 2, this could change.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix – Due for release in November 2018, X-Men: Dark Phoenix is Fox’s second Marvel movie for the year. The movie will reunite cast members from the X-Men prequel series, including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence.

X-23 – No release date for this one, but James Mangold is currently working on a script. The movie is expected to focus on X-23/Laura – a character seen in 2017’s Logan.
