LEGO is to release a new collection of dino-themed construction sets based on Jurassic World.

Released to coincide with the arrival of Universal’s big screen adventure, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the new LEGO sets will hit shops this April. The collection will feature key scenes from the movie, incorporating iconic JW characters, including Owen and Blue, the velociraptor.

In total, 13 sets will be released across the LEGO portfolio, so expect to see sets appear under the following product banners: LEGO DUPLO, LEGO Juniors & LEGO Systems. The aim of the collection is to provide hours of fun (and collectability) no matter the age range, with different price points throughout.

Toys R Us and Walmart will be offering retailer exclusives – so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for those.

In a statement (via Coming Soon), Vince Klaseus, President of Universal Brand Development, said:

“Fans embraced LEGO Jurassic World with our initial product launch, and we couldn’t wait to come back and give them more of what they love with new ways to play and new opportunities to interact with the brand.

“The expansion of our partnership reflects Universal’s objective to create lifestyle programs and engaging fan experiences that reach every age category, 365 days-a-year.”
